Good Morning!

Imagine yourself sleeping soundly in the comfort of your bed when you slowly become aware of the sound of a band waking you up. It's not the type of band that you may hear on your radio alarm clock. No, this is the sound a marching band walking just feet from where you are.
This is how I woke up this morning at 6:30 AM!

My room faces the street and my bed is on the street wall. Since my apartment is on the street level, it has its benefits like a front row view of the horse and carriage that can be seen riding through town on Sunday afternoons and the marching band as it make its way through town!(I didn't have the presence of mind to snap pictures when they first came by the apartment, so these pictures were taken later in the day. :D )

I don't know the reason why this band was marching all around Kandern so early in the morning, but I my suspicions that it has something to do with the continuation of May Day celebrations. After the church service this morning a common question that was heard was, "What time did the band walk by your place this morning?"

Life in Germany...sigh
