R & R Part 2
Last weekend I traveled with a friend who is leaving BFA at the end of this year. Janet and I have been wanting to take a trip together this year. Even though the year is winding down, we were able to squeeze in a trip to Amsterdam. Our trip was short, a long weekend, but we were able to squeeze several things in. A highlight of the trip was to visit Keukenhof. The most photographed place in the world. Keukenhof gardens display 7 million tulip bulbs! Here are a few pictures that capture the beauty in the gardens.
There were some really unique tulips there...here is the "Parent" Tulip. I was half expecting to see a little cabbage patch kid spring from this!
Several of the gardens had themes. This part of the park had large tulips winding around the lake...can you see the tulip in the garden?
Everywhere you turned there was something new and beautiful!
More specifically, I am an Educational Therapist working with missionary kids who have perceptual learning deficits (visual and auditory) that make it hard for them to learn.
I love what I do here at Black Forest Academy. During the day I teach. At night and some weekends I volunteer in a couple dorms. While at the dorms I bake and hang out with the kids. I have also co-lead a small group of sophomore girls that meets once a week.
Are you interested in participating in the ministry with Bethany?
If you would like to make a tax-deductible gift to this ministry, please send a check to: Janz Team Ministries PO Box 2010 Buffalo, NY 14231 with Bethany Winnes in the Memo. Thanks!
