Job Outlines
Dorm Parents (2 sets): We are in need of dorm parents for one girls’ dorm and one boys’ dorm. We are looking for couples that have raised their own teenagers (at a minimum their children should be upper elementary/middle school). We will not accept families with young children. We are looking for couples that have been involved in working with youth (formally or informally). We are looking for couples that have experience in leading a team, especially teams of college students/young adults.
Guidance Counselor: This position is helping with the academic advisement of students- course scheduling, college advice, SAT prep, etc.. We are looking for a person who has experience as an academic counselor at a high school or an admissions counselor at a college.
Practical Arts: This is a full-time teaching role in the areas of Technical Drawing, Industrial Arts (middle school and high school), and Responsible Driving.
Middle School History: This is a full-time teaching role teaching 6th grade ancient civilizations, 7th grade world geography, and 8th grade world history from ancient civilizations to the Reformation.
Geometry: This is a full-time teaching role primarily teaching Geometry, but other math courses may be added as well. Experience teaching Geometry would be desired.
American Lit: This is a full-time teaching role teaching 11th grade American Literature. This person must have classroom experience in teaching American Lit.
Maintenance: We are looking for someone who can serve as a custodian and help with basic maintenance of our school/dorm facilities. A working knowledge of plumbing and carpentry is desired.
Administrative Assistant: We are looking for someone to serve in the Personnel Office who is detail-oriented, computer savvy, and a self-starter. This person will spend a lot of time maintaining databases and information systems, creating document layouts, and communicating with those who have inquired after positions.
