October 5 Thanksgiving #1
Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures at the first one...oops! It was a Canadian Thanksgiving celebration. It was fun and festive. In order to take part in this special event (and be an honorary Canadian for the night) I had to tell three things about Canada. Here they are: 1) Canada has over a million natives, 2) Hockey is their national sport, and 3) it has the world's longest coastline!

(These pictures are courtesy of Chris, the Graphics Design teacher and Yearbook Advisor.)
Enjoying the food prepared by the dorm dad and staff. The dorm dad is a chef by trade, so you know that we all ate really well that night!

I love this picture of Sanna and how it catches the spirit of the night, but I also noticed that there was a very familiar face in the background...

(and there I am enjoying a story...)
(meanwhile in the background I'm listening to a rather gripping story, I guess)

(and the girls in the foreground are still having fun!)

November 27--Thanksgiving #3
Many of us had already celebrated Thanksgiving with the dorms two weeks earlier, but one of the new teachers really wanted to celebrate on the actual day. So, even though we still had school, we all pitched in and had a very pleasant evening.

It looks like Chris finally stood straight up by the end of the evening.
Kidding, Chris.
