in the beginning...

As the summer draws to a close I begin to look forward to the return of the students. I was thinking the other day about how I love to walk down the hallways because I am met with enthusiasm and a hug by many of the students I've come to know over the years. Here are a couple of friends who have reunited after a long summer.A tradition that I look forward to every year is the Senior class marching in with 48 flags representing the nations where many parents are currently ministering.
Another highlight of the opening ceremonies is hearing the charge given by Tim Shuman, the Director of BFA. This year he introduced us to Leonhard Euler, a mathematician who has many, many mathematical and scientific terms named after him, who not only pursued knowledge, but righteousness in his daily walk with the Lord. After the ceremony is over comes a difficult time for many, saying good bye.

I think that at Schaeffer Academy in Rochester you might be met with hugs, too. I'm not sure about that, it's just a feeling I have... because you are so lovable. But for sure you'd get hugs and kisses from your nephew and nieces. Well, a hug from your nephew (or possibly a bump) and definately hugs AND kisses from your nieces.

Cool opening ceremony tradition. I don't think they did that when I was there. But I do remember having to say good bye to my little sister :(( At least we never fought like cats and dogs!

Love you!
