Witają Polska! Welcome to Poland!

On Friday, March 14, 2008
17 Students, 3 Team Leaders, 2 Drivers
(and 1 Spouse of a Driver)
start the journey of
1000 KM or 620 Miles
which took 14 hours!

German law mandates that drivers of coach buses take a half our break every two hours...
We were able to stretch out a bit on the bus to catch some much needed Z's during the ride.

Once we arrived in Poland we tried looking for a place to stop for breakfast. We found that we had an additional stop that we weren't expecting... The police pulled the coach over on a technicality, but then pulled our drivers into the police van and tried to catch them for other infringements.
As my dad would say, it was a memory!

Once we arrived at the church we were fed and then put right to work!

70 (killer) boards had to be carried up four flights of stairs, which took less than an hour to carry up 4 flights of stairs....

...and placed on the beams so that they could be put in place in the next few days.
In the end there was much rejoicing! Meanwhile, I was in the kitchen helping with the meals... sorry! I don't have any pictures of that, my hands were covered with food...
