Catching up and Clips

September is nearly finished and school is definitely underway. Last week we had Spiritual Emphasis Week. Erik Williams (and two guys who helped lead worship) came and spoke on being "Fully Equipped" (2 Peter 1:3), our school theme this year. Capturing everyone's attention through the Truth and enthusiasm, it was amazing to watch the students respond to the message. In meeting with one of my students she came in with a big smile saying that she had accepted Jesus as her personal Savior! Awesome!

I tried inserting the video that "Erik w/a 'k'" Williams put together for us, but couldn't so here's a link for the SEW video. It's a fun look at the week. I was a bit surprised that I had even made a cameo appearance!

Another link you may want to check out is The Chronicle. How does the The Chronicle compare to other high school newspapers?, you may ask. After reading through this newspaper I have a broader global understanding. Ranging in topics from I Love Lucy to diverted terrorist attacks here in Germany to recycling (which is quite nearly a national past time, haha), I find The Chronicle to be very informative and entertaining.

The Chronicle is Black Forest Academy's biweekly student newspaper. Their motto is "Serving BFA, the Community, and the World". Recent Chronicle issues are available here. We also have an older issue available with many timeless articles about the issues, challenges, and benefits of youth growing up outside of their passport country (Third Culture Kids).
