Inaugeral Posting

It's nearly the end of my first year hear at Black Forest and I've finally started a blog for those who are want to know more about my day to day life!

The purpose of this site is to keep all who support me financially and through prayer a little more informed. I have sent out e-newsletters approximately every 4 to 6 weeks, but hopefully when life gets busy and I'm not able to send one out for longer than that I can jot a note or add a picture a little more frequently!

Here are a few pictures of life so far!

My apartment is on the main level of the green house

Helping the girls get ready for the banquet by doing their nails. Until this point I'd never done a French Manicure, but there's always the first time!

Resident Assistants (Laura and Christine) came over on their day off for dinner. For dessert we made pumpkin pie tarts.

We don't get pumpkin mixture in a can, so in order to make this treat I had to use a real pumpkin, bake it, and gut it! After all the work (and time!) It was definately worth it!

Hey Bethany! You and Grant are going to make me into a "blogger" yet! Your dad won't believe it! A great idea to keep in touch with all those interested in your life.

Hey Bethany,

I'm blogging but you haven't blogged lately.

Hi Bethany!
I'm crashing your family forum here with my comments! I hope you pureed the pumpkin! I baked one once but thought the mixer would be good enough. It didn't break up the strands (fibers?), so it was like squash to me ~ YUK!!

I should add, too, that your blog is a great way to keep close to people far away! I love to hear what you're up to. Bless you today! You're missed back here in MN, but I'm so glad for those you're blessing there.

I don't have a puree-er, but I did take the strand-like stuff out before mixing it up. I still had tons-o-pumkin to go bake and cook with!
